Dateline: June 1st 2009 17:00 hours. New York Region's web page home of nearly 15 years, www dot nyr-scca dot COM, was unscrupulously pirated by internet DNS miners. The server hosting company also seems to have vanished as every attempt to contact them has met with no success. The offending DNS mining company, based out of Atlanta, Georgia, offered to sell the original URL back to the region but at a rediculous mark up so there was only one thing left to do. Secure a new host under a new URL. Fortunately the new address of the New York Region is almost exact to it's original with the single change of .org instead of .com. Stay tuned as NYR continues to improve it's internet presence into the 21st century.
